Monday: books and work-in-progress

Somehow today I managed to get pages cut out and organized for two books, started editing two new letterpress pieces, and get a pretty good start on two new compilation pieces, all for a show coming up in March. I don’t know how I managed all of this, since it is a Monday, but hey! I’m not going to question these things!

Saturday was the opening for a great show I am in at Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts. First show is up through the end of the month, and really, if you can, go see it! It is an ecclectic mix of artists – the only thing we have in common is that we are all members of BLCA and participated in and won first place in our categories in the 2010 members show. There was no other theme set for this show, and no planning other than “bring about 10 pieces to hang and we’ll go from there”. Yet somehow our work flows so well together, from one room to the next. It is pretty awesome and I’m happy to have my work there!

I’ll end with a couple of photos – my next books in progress! This is the ‘Autumn’ book (and my photo of the day) and the ‘Winter’ book from my ‘Seasons’ series. I’m still working on summer. Next step is gluing pages together and picking out a cover paper!

Until next time,

~peace~
