Catch up on my instant 365 project
My instant photo 365 is a challenge. There are days when I take an image, realize it isn’t going to work, and have to stop for the day because the conditions won’t change and I don’t want to waste the film. Some of these kind of crummy shots will still get used somewhere else, in a layer for another image, or just as a book mark. I’ll post a few of the crummy ones because right now it is showing that I am learning how to use some new films, and a new camera, but after awhile, I won’t post them, just a little note about that day.
Here we go! Instant photo #7Our living room window is one of my favorite parts of this little place we live in.
Instant photo #8This one didn’t come out at all because it was too late at night and too dark. The blue and green and the texture are cool though, and they will look great as a layer in one of my compilation images.
Instant photo #9
I’m learning the limits of the new TIP 680 film and low light…
Instant photo #10My tulips are starting to pop up! Also, I like using the old Chocolate film in my Land Camera.
Instant photo #11Who doesn’t love the spoon and cherry at The Walker? :)
Instant photo #12This one was really dark and murky. I was testing the low light capabilities of my Land Camera and discovering that it really depends on the film that is in it. I don’t feel like posting it, but it does exist. Instant photo #13
The Vandercook I was printing on most of the day.
Instant photo #14Getting ready for spring
Instant photo #15My moons that hang by our door to our deck.
Instant photo #16
I met John for dinner before he had to go to an afterwork meeting. The wait staff really liked my camera ;)
Instant photo #17That feeling of laying on the floor, listening to music, and staring up at the ceiling.
Instant photo #18It snowed last night. The only good thing about it was that the trees were very pretty this morning. It seems like all the snow is gone now.
Until next time,~Peace~
A catch up on my cell phone 365 project
I have been keeping up on both of my 365 projects. I’m actually really proud of that. Usually I have slipped by this time and given up. I am, however, quite behind on posting them. So, here is a catch up for one project, my cell phone self portrait 365.
Cell phone photo #8I had been crazy busy trying to get new artwork done to take to Bloomington Art Center. Somedays, you feel like all you are is a working, creating machine.
Cell phone photo #9Some days are just kind of blurry.
Cell phone photo #10Cell phone photo #11
I took this because my thought process led me down a path where at the end I was very grateful that I have made the choices in my life that have led me to so many places where my scars don’t matter.
Cell phone photos #12Cell phone photos #13
I have had a few too many days stuck working on my computer instead of being outside.
Cell phone photos #14Sunshine and shadows!
Cell phone photos #15I put a new earring in one of my holes.
Cell phone photos #16Back at the computer and cold.
Cell phone photos #17Hands for a keyboard. I actually took this photo holding my cell phone in my mouth.
Cell phone photos #18Today. Thanks to the cold weather we have suddenly again, it is a long sock kind of day.
I’m not at all pretending that these are the best photos I’ve ever taken, but that isn’t the point of this project. The point of this project is to force myself to use a different camera, to try taking more self portraits (without it getting too boring!) and to stick with a project that forces me to be creative everyday even for just a minute. I’ve made it this far.Until next time,
~Peace~
A family photo time of year…
With the start of spring (yes, it really is spring, even though it snowed again) the fun family portrait sessions start again. First up this year was Anna! She just turned one year old! The amazing thing about this little photo shoot, is that it actually took place near the Overnight Web Challenge put on by The Nerdery. We stole Anna’s dad from the web coding action for just a bit to go take some photos, and had a lot of fun.
Love Poem was published!!
Just a quick little note to say that the ‘Love Poem’ video I made in a collaboration with the talented Kathryn Kysar was chosen by the Two Year Colleges Association within the National Council of Teachers of English to celebrate National Poetry Month! It is now published on their website for April 13th. I am so pleased that they were impressed with our collaboration and chose to use it on their website in honor of Poetry Month!
