I went to an opening reception for a friend’s art show. It brought me close to where I spent many college days, to streets I wandered day and night. I drove by for one quick look back.

I was doing more experimenting with my Sx-70. It seemed that the shutter was stuck at only one speed, so only images taken in certain lighting situations would work. 
This was my favorite image from that day.

Trying to get my Sx-70 to work again. I was scouring the internet, looking for repair guides, and trouble shooting tips, anything I could find. This was the best image I had gotten from it in a long time. (It gets better!)

I really wish this photo was not so blurry….
But that is what I get for trying to take a photo in a dark theater, with only 400 speed film (I could have pushed it!!) while people were walking back and forth past me (hello vibrations!) with no tripod…
(I really have learned!)
Oh well.
We took my parents on our annual outing to see the British Arrow Awards at the Walker Art Center. It was so cold out that day, I did not want to bring my Hasselblad out, so this was taken with my 35mm Nikon FG-20. My father-in-law gave me that camera years ago (he used it for many years before) and I really enjoy it (though I do hate scanning 35mm negatives).

John finished the gate to my studio! This image came out darker than I had hoped, but I still like how it shows off the wood grain. This was John’s first wood-working project, and he did amazing!
